Lutyens' Influence

The newly built diamond shaped chimneys topping this 400 year old original Arts and Crafts Grade II listed farm house have been the talk of the area since their construction as they are visible from the surrounding countryside.

The property was extended by Rostrum Building extremely sympathetically in association with a renowned local architect. The green oak frame was hand-built on site and great care had to be taken in joining the new structure to the existing, with the staircase having each tread hand-cut into the old stone walls. The bargate stone walls that formed the original cow sheds were carefully damp-proofed and insulated to modern day building regulation standards and incorporated into the new building, creating an atmospheric dining hall and stylish kitchen.

"Bob and all his team are honest and professional who respect the buildings and surroundings in which they work with a "can do" attitude and realistic outlook based on experience."
